The Rod and Reel has excellent accommodations and the location was perfect! Suzette and her staff have thought of everything to make this the perfect place for your stay. The resort is beautiful, clean and inviting. Love that is on the beach and next to the pier, where you can also order or dine at the Rod and Reel Restaurant. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Dear Suzette, I can't tell you how much we appreciated what you have done with the Rod and Reel. I cannot imagine a better spot for a multi-family vacation that was intended to facilitate strengthening ties, catching up with family spread across the country, and gathering frequently for meals, and group events. All this while still maintaining our private spaces as welll as adventures in boats and boards and bikes. We held a water olympics, an auction of grandparents 'treasures' with play money, cooking lessons of favorite grandmother recipes, ping-pong and corn hole tournaments, and aggravation and boggle tournaments. We watched old movies of the cousins together as kids, who now have kids of their own, and their kids now know their cousins. The remodeling you did has created an absolutely beautiful space inside and out and the fence arrangement kept the little ones safe and parents alert but not constantly in alarm mode. Ty and his assistant were very helpful, readily available if needed, and went out of their way to make it a carefree and wonderful week. Anyway, kudos to the whole staff and you - it was everything we hoped for and more. 5***** easy!!!!

We stayed in suite 7 for a thoroughly enjoyable 2nd week after transitioning from suite 4 (left a separate review on suite 4) for our first week. The move was smooth. The palm tree garden decor of the lighted swimming pool and spa central area was delightful. The included beach equipment, bikes and poolside located games were great fun. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean and the staff was very available and helpful. This was our sixth year of vacationing in rental properties on Anna Maria Island and this was definitely our best year yet.

We took a risk and booked a family vacation on an Island and at a resort we had never heard of before! We were more than pleasantly surprised with it all - everything is better than the pictures and the Rod & Reel Resort is outstanding!! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the staff is great. The amenities are more than enough to keep our family of 4 busy all day! If you want to feel like you are in the Caribbean with a private 5 star resort this is the place for you! We loved everything but a few highlights were kayaking (with dolphins), paddle-boarding, biking around the island, eating and fishing at the pier and of course relaxing on our own white sand beach. The sunsets are to die for!!! We can't wait to come back!!! Thank you!!!
