The Rod and Reel is one of my favorite places to stay! The rooms are super clean and the property is beautiful. The staff is very responsive and accommodating. It's the best of both worlds, fishing on the Bayside of the property and a quick walk to the beautiful beach. I actually stayed two weeks prior to this visit, with a friend, and had to come back and bring my kids. The kids loved the use of the bikes, kayaks and pool. Can't wait to return!!

What a great resort! Top notch with restaurants and beaches within walking distance. Very well maintained facility! Will be returning very soon for my 3rd stay!

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the rod and reel resort but I do have a few comments that could have improved our stay. First, let me thank Ty for his prompt service to all of our needs. My first comment is that the set up of the bedrooms was not clear in the description...we did not realize we had to walk through the first bedroom to get to the 2nd bedroom....awkward for 2 couples as opposed to a family. Next...the king size bedroom needed some hooks or "over the door" hangers so we could hang bathrobes or other articles of clothing. We had no closet so it was difficult to keep the room neat. We definitely enjoyed having the facilities to cook a few meals but were lacking simple utensils and potholders. Also, the throw rug in the living room needed to be cleaned or replaced. A few simple things would have made your rating a 5. The pool, hot tub, and grounds ...including the concrete ping pong table were great!! A little TLC to the bicycles like new handles and a good cleaning of the seats was greatly needed. It was great to have beach chairs, kayaks, and paddle boards to enjoy and the location is superb.

The entire experience was effortless, exactly how we wanted it to be. We have never been so relaxed and stress free in our lives. The beautiful suites, the lush landscaping, the spotless pool and spa , only made better by the continual crash of the waves and smell of the salt air. Ty was amazing and there for anything we needed or any questions we had . We return to Minnesota with a recharged battery and owe it to the Rod and Reel ! Can’t wait for winter, to return!

Have been coming to Anna Maria Is for 20 years and the Rod and Reel is perfectly located on the north end of the island close to everything. If you want a great weekend or a “get away” week that is truly memorable do not hesitate. Your stay will take you to your happy place!
