This resort was a dream come true for a spring break destination! Four families rented the entire resort together, and we could not have been more pleased. From the host that checked in on us regularly to the separate but together accommodations, we could not have asked for anything more! Everything was clean and beautifully kept up. We can't wait to come again-- and are coming again! This is truly the best destination for multi-families or one extended family. We had a wonderful time!

Dear Suzette, I can't tell you how much we appreciated what you have done with the Rod and Reel. I cannot imagine a better spot for a multi-family vacation that was intended to facilitate strengthening ties, catching up with family spread across the country, and gathering frequently for meals, and group events. All this while still maintaining our private spaces as welll as adventures in boats and boards and bikes. We held a water olympics, an auction of grandparents 'treasures' with play money, cooking lessons of favorite grandmother recipes, ping-pong and corn hole tournaments, and aggravation and boggle tournaments. We watched old movies of the cousins together as kids, who now have kids of their own, and their kids now know their cousins. The remodeling you did has created an absolutely beautiful space inside and out and the fence arrangement kept the little ones safe and parents alert but not constantly in alarm mode. Ty and his assistant were very helpful, readily available if needed, and went out of their way to make it a carefree and wonderful week. Anyway, kudos to the whole staff and you - it was everything we hoped for and more. 5***** easy!!!!

My parents stayed at this resort to celebrate their anniversary and birthday. We did not personally stay here, but we called and spoke with Suzette, the owner, to arrange a little welcome gift for them. She went above and beyond, to personally go to a local restaurant to pick up a bottle of wine, a gift card, and a card for them. She even included a complimentary gift. If that wasn't enough, she emailed us a photo of the gift set up for them in the room. Suzette was lovely and pleasant to work with and went above and beyond to help us make our parents stay memorable. We couldn't thank her enough.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! This resort is beautiful, well managed, and on the most beautiful part of the island. Suite 8 was spectacular with a beautiful private deck overlooking the bay, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and the Rod & Reel Pier. Bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards are all included with your stay. Relax, bike, fish, walk to Bean Point, and enjoy amazing restaurants. IT IS PERFECT!

The old Rod & Reel was great! But the new Rod &Reel, was all around beautiful, unbelievably outstanding!! The property manager, Ty! We never had experienced that warm & incredible hospitality! Amazing!
