From the minute we walked in, we felt an instant fix. Greeted immediately by the resort's finest; Manager, Ty Hicks! "Your room is ready early, there's no need to go and roam. What's ours, for sure, is yours, please make yourself at home!" Suite #2 was clean as can be, the absolute best we do guarantee. Each thing was arranged so nicely, the interior decorated so precisely. The sun chairs by the pool were great, we made friends from many states. We loved laying in the sand and experienced the rooftop deck firsthand. We rode the bikes every day, paddle boarded and kayaked in the Bay. Many meals were cooked right there, thanks to the grill that we could share. At night, we walked to the Pier to have our $1.50 beer! Suzette, your place is Heaven on earth, we will return that is for sure!

We love the Rod and Reel , our favorite private resort for our little family. Rooms are very clean and I am OCD So I am tough when comes to cleaning, But most important the staff are very respectful and wonderful host, treating you always with love. Location is great just a short walk to the best beach in South Florida so you don’t have to deal with parking in Ana Maria. I will stay every week there if possible :)

Dear Suzette, I can't tell you how much we appreciated what you have done with the Rod and Reel. I cannot imagine a better spot for a multi-family vacation that was intended to facilitate strengthening ties, catching up with family spread across the country, and gathering frequently for meals, and group events. All this while still maintaining our private spaces as welll as adventures in boats and boards and bikes. We held a water olympics, an auction of grandparents 'treasures' with play money, cooking lessons of favorite grandmother recipes, ping-pong and corn hole tournaments, and aggravation and boggle tournaments. We watched old movies of the cousins together as kids, who now have kids of their own, and their kids now know their cousins. The remodeling you did has created an absolutely beautiful space inside and out and the fence arrangement kept the little ones safe and parents alert but not constantly in alarm mode. Ty and his assistant were very helpful, readily available if needed, and went out of their way to make it a carefree and wonderful week. Anyway, kudos to the whole staff and you - it was everything we hoped for and more. 5***** easy!!!!

There are not enough words to articulate our experience at the Beautiful Rod and Reel Resort. The breath taking resort is for sure our new little slice of heaven. The suit we stayed in, suit 6 was spotless. The pool and hot tub are just stunning and the amenities are top notch. This was our first time to the island, and we were not home for 36 hours before I was on the phone trying to book, At the Rod and Reel Resort for next year! Suzett, ty, and the other staff are one of a kind. Do yourselves a favor and look no further than the Rod and Reel Resort.

We stayed in Suite 8 and it is gorgeous! The view from inside or on the deck was perfect, even better than it looked online. The resort is terrific - beautiful, very private and quiet. My brother and sister in law have been wintering in Florida for 20+ years and were impressed with the Rod and Reel. The finishes are superior and the beach is right outside the gate, the pool was beautifully lit at night, the kayaks were fun and we rode the bikes to restaurants and all over the island. The pool and hot tub were spotless and refreshing. The Rod and Reel Pier next door had good food and was so entertaining with people fishing all day long. We gravitated to it daily. Suzette was terrific to deal with and Ty & Tanya took great care of us and kept the resort in order, from providing whatever we needed to even raking the beach every day. Anna Maria has loads of great restaurants and is very scenic. It's easy to walk to many places, too. We're coming back to Suite 8 at the Rod and Reel next February.
