This was our third stay in Suite 8 and it was wonderful, as usual. The kitchen and deck are incredible - we spend a lot of time on the expansive deck which is just feet from the water. The pool is great and is colorfully lit at night. The other guests have been extremely friendly and easy to talk with. We use the bikes to ride all over and enjoy the kayaks. I may try to paddle board next time. The Rod and Reel Pier is steps away and we spend time over there every day, watching the fishing and eating upstairs. We've booked two more stays over the winter and can't wait to go back.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the rod and reel resort but I do have a few comments that could have improved our stay. First, let me thank Ty for his prompt service to all of our needs. My first comment is that the set up of the bedrooms was not clear in the description...we did not realize we had to walk through the first bedroom to get to the 2nd bedroom....awkward for 2 couples as opposed to a family. Next...the king size bedroom needed some hooks or "over the door" hangers so we could hang bathrobes or other articles of clothing. We had no closet so it was difficult to keep the room neat. We definitely enjoyed having the facilities to cook a few meals but were lacking simple utensils and potholders. Also, the throw rug in the living room needed to be cleaned or replaced. A few simple things would have made your rating a 5. The pool, hot tub, and grounds ...including the concrete ping pong table were great!! A little TLC to the bicycles like new handles and a good cleaning of the seats was greatly needed. It was great to have beach chairs, kayaks, and paddle boards to enjoy and the location is superb.

Beautiful, renovated resort! Loved how small and intimate property is. The location is prime. Ty took great care of us and was always available to assist if we needed anything! Our children had a blast! Looking forward to returning several times throughout the Summer! This was our 4th stay in Suite 8 and we're going back again later this month, and are planning to return next year. The Rod & Reel Resort is incredible - beautiful, quiet, relaxing, so close to the water and next to the entertaining Rod & Reel Pier. It's nice to have bikes, kayaks and paddle boards included to avoid the hassle of renting them from elsewhere. They even have beach toys onsite for the kids. We've met so many friendly guests from all over the US at this small, intimate 8 room resort. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here whether with family, friends or just as a couple.

This resort is a very secure resort. Very private. You need a code to enter so no one from the street can just walk in. The rooms were very modern and very lovely decorated. The kitchenette was perfect for eating in. The beds were very comfortable and the unit was very spacious for 4. Suzette, the owner, was very nice and easy to work with. The staff at the resort was very kind and helpful. The Rod & Reel Pier and Restaurant was so convenient. I can't wait to go back.
