My family and I stayed at the Rod and Reel Resort in September 2024 and really enjoyed our stay. The resort is beautiful and the pool was luxurious! Everything is spotless! Made a perfect relaxing weekend for us and the kids. Nothing like drinking your morning coffee just steps away from the beach. Simply the best!

We planned a family Spring Break trip here. It was my husband, I, and our two girls (8&6) who went. This was our first trip to AMI. We did have a rental car. We loved that we had a parking spot for us at our location. We enjoyed being on the quieter, northern end of the island! This location is prime! The resort was extra clean and felt secluded and luxurious with how it was designed. We enjoyed the pool daily along with our daily trip to whatever beach we had picked to explore. The pool was heated. You had great views from the lounging decks. It was nice to get fresh towels daily in the AM and to be able to get rid of used ones at night.
It’s an easy walk to Bayfront or Bean Point Beach. We did sunsets at Bean Point and did morning walks for shells along Bayfront. The city was currently doing some rebuilding of playground equipment along/near this beach. So that will be nice for kiddos in the near future. You’re also able to walk to Pine Street which holds some nice shops and restaurants. We did drive anywhere past these locations due to having the kids. We were just a little more cautious to avoid the busier travel times around 10:30-3pm.
We unfortunately were not able to experience the Rod and Reel Pier or AMI Pier that were right next door due to Hurricane damage. However, we are hopeful to return and to see them rebuilt and thriving!!
Overall, the resort was wonderfully managed and we had a great time!

My family and I stayed at this resort in September last year. The resort is beautiful, and the pool is a luxurious delight! The room and the resort was spotless in our stay was very relaxing. Nothing else waking up in the morning with a cup of coffee steps away from the sand. It truly is one of a kind and I highly recommend this resort.
